Dr. Olukayode Talabi is an indigene of Ijebu-Ode, Nigeria, a mathematician, scholar and educator. He is an alumnus of University of Port Harcourt, Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, University of Ibadan, and University of Agriculture, Abeokuta where he respectively graduated with B.Sc (Mathematics), M.Sc (Mathematics), M.Ed (Educational Evaluation) and PGD (Computer Science) & PhD (Mathematics). Before his retirement, he taught many mathematics courses in colleges and universities which include The Polytechnic, Ibadan and University of Agriculture, Abeokuta - both in Nigeria.

In addition, he taught at Columbia State Community College, Columbia; Motlow State Community College, Smyrna; Cumberland University, Lebanon City and Middle Tennessee State University Murfreesboro - all in the United States. For a couple of years, he was an educator at Memphis - Shelby County Schools, Memphis, TN. His major areas of research are Numerical Analysis and Fluid Dynamics.

Dr. Talabi has also supervised many undergraduate and graduate theses and projects both in Mathematics and Computer Science. He co-authored “Introduction to University Mathematics” - ISBN 978-34914-3-1, Belzeel Publishers, Lagos, Nigeria 1999. In addition, he has authored several articles in learned journals. He is a Fellow of International Chartered World Learned Society and a recipient of the title “Top Educator of The Twenty-First Century” by the same society.

A Honored Listee in the Marquis Who’s Who, Dr. Talabi belongs to numerous professional bodies which include American Mathematical Society, Mathematical Association of America, National Education Association and Honor Society.

He is married and blessed with children and grandchildren.
